HYROX Training at 336 CrossFit in High Point, NC
Strength. Endurance. Running. One Complete Training Program.
HYROX has arrived at 336 CrossFit.
Whether you're training for your first HYROX race, looking to improve your performance, or simply want a new way to challenge your fitness, our HYROX program combines strength, endurance, running, and functional training into one high-energy class.
No HYROX experience is required. You don't even have to be registered for a race.
Our HYROX classes are for anyone who wants to get stronger, build a bigger engine, and test what they're capable of.
What is HYROX?
HYROX is a worldwide fitness race that combines 8 x 1-kilometer runs with 8 functional workout stations. Every HYROX race follows the same basic format, allowing athletes around the world to train for and compete in a standardized fitness event. The race tests a combination of cardiovascular endurance, strength, muscular stamina, and the ability to keep moving when you're tired. And unlike sports that require years of highly technical skill development, HYROX is built around approachable functional movements and offers multiple race divisions, including Open, Pro, Doubles, and Relay.
What to Expect in a 336 HYROX Class
Our HYROX training isn't about doing a full race every time you walk through the door.
We train the individual pieces that make you better at HYROX.
Expect sessions incorporating running, SkiErg, rowing, sled work, carries, lunges, wall balls, burpees, strength work, and conditioning — programmed to improve your ability to maintain your pace and keep working under fatigue.
You'll develop:
- Running endurance and speed
- Strength and power
- Aerobic capacity
- Muscular endurance
- Sled strength and technique
- Movement efficiency
- Pacing and race strategy
- The ability to run well after hard functional work
Running is a major component of HYROX — a full race includes 8 kilometers of running — so learning to run efficiently, particularly after demanding workout stations, is an important part of preparing for the event.
